Yes. Skimming over is the most common request we get on artex ceilings now. The texture is sealed and a smooth plaster finish goes over the top, leaving you a flat modern ceiling without removing anything. Very heavy textures may need overboarding first.

If asbestos is present and the coating is in good condition, leaving it undisturbed and covering it is usually the sensible route. We do not sand or remove coatings that may contain asbestos.
